Climax of American Football season approaching

 Our own football season is taking a hammering at the moment so how about trying a bet on American Football and remember that bets on American Football include extra time in case of a draw after normal time. The competition is reaching its climax with the divisional playoffs and the Conference championship  games resulting in Super Bowl XLIV which takes place on Sunday February 7^th. So how does it work? There are two Conferences (sections) in the NFL (National Football League) namely the AFC (American Football Conference) and the NFC (National Football Conference). The winners of each of these Conferences will play each other in Super Bowl. There are 4 teams remaining in each Conference who play a mini knockout to decide who wins the Conference and goes on to play in Super Bowl :- in the AFC these are Baltimore who play at Indianapolis on Saturday January 16^th and New York Jets who play at San Diego on Sunday January 17^th. The winners of these two games play each other on Sunday 24^th January to decide the AFC.

In the NFC the teams remaining are Arizona who play at New Orleans on Saturday January 16^th and Dallas who play at Minnesota on Sunday January 17^th. As in the AFC the winners of these two games go on to play each other for the NFC Championship on January 24^th.

Betting opportunities:- before the games are played this weekend is a good time to place bets on the eventual Super Bowl winner or the Conference winners as the odds are better then they will be after the games. The clear favourites to win are Indianapolis followed closely by San Diego and New Orleans all of whom have home games this weekend. The outsiders are NY Jets, Arizona and Baltimore all of whom have away games this weekend. If you fancy a bet, the bookie to be with on this one is Bwin who are offering better odds than most on all three favourites mentioned for both outright Super Bowl winner and Conference winner. If you want to be on one of the outsiders then for NY Jets you need to be with BetFred who are offering 12.0 for the Conference and 23.0 for the Super Bowl compared to for example Paddy Power who are offering 9.0 and 19.0 respectively which is quite a difference.
