Some online casinos still offer 3-card Brag as a casino game

The online casinos have provided us with a huge range of casino games to choose from, but for many of us it is the card games which remain firm favourites. As we have often commented before on these pages the game of Poker for instance has really benefitted from the introduction of online casinos to such an extent that entries to major Poker tournaments have rocketed over recent years. Most of the online casinos offer several versions of Poker amongst their range of casino games, but some of them also feature other card games for us to enjoy. Many of us will have fond memories of playing 3-card Brag in our younger days and it was probably also instrumental in our progression to playing Poker, but it is a casino game which tends to have been almost forgotten. Fortunately the Betfred online casino does include 3-card Brag in their range of casino games so we can still relive the fun we had in the days before online casinos were even muted. In fact 3-card Brag is an excellent introduction to Poker, with similar rankings of hands. There may of course be some of our readers who have never played 3-card Brag, so we have included the rules on our casino games pages, but it really is very simple. Each player is dealt three cards face down, at which point they have the opportunity to play the first round ‘Blind’, which means they do not see their cards before they bet but they only need to put down half of the agreed table stake. At the Betfred casino if the player elects to look at their cards they then have the opportunity to change all three cards if the hand has no chance of winning. They can of course only do this once. When playing 3-card Brag at the Betfred casino only three raises are allowed during each hand, which clearly limits any potential losses and avoids players risking getting involved in betting more than they expected and budgeted for. 3-card Brag is great fun and an excellent casino game in its own right.
