Choose an online casino in which to play

Red Dog is probably the easiest online casino card game

All the major online casinos attempt to offer us the choice of as many casino games as they can, which is why they all feature a vast range of slot games on their sites. It is the slots games which allow them to boast of making over two hundred casino games available for us to play on their sites, because it is relatively easy to design a new slots game based on a different theme. The online casinos also believe that it is the slots games that are most likely to appeal to new casino games players who generally may not be familiar with any of the more traditional casino games. There are however a number of other casino games which do not require any previous experience or skill to play, including a variety of dice games and even some card games such as Red Dog. Red Dog or as it is sometimes known ‘between the sheets’ is probably one of the easiest card games you can play at an online casino. Played against the house for fixed odds, the game of Red Dog uses a standard 52 card deck from which the player is dealt just three cards, two of them face up and the third face down, usually positioned in the centre of the three cards. Before the deal the player needs to place an ante bet of at least the minimum table stake and a winning hand is simply one where the blind card has a face value between the two open cards. When playing Red Dog the player also has the opportunity to increase the ante bet before the blind card is revealed, usually when the spread of the open cards promises a winning hand. Most winning hands are paid at even money but if the spread of the open cards is three or less the winning odds are usually higher, reflecting the statistical odds of a winning hand. There are also two other possibilities when playing Red Dog. The two open cards could be a pair, in which case the only winning hand is three of a kind and is generally paid at odds of 11/1 on most sites. The other possibility is that the open cards are consecutive numbers, in which case there is no winning hand so the deal is void and the stake returned.
