In this way Red Dog can still give you a good return even though your first two cards are not good. If your first two cards have no spread for example a 9 and a 10 the hand is a push and you get your ante back; if however you are dealt a pair a third card will be dealt automatically without any further betting and if the third card is again the same value making three of a kind your payout is 11:1; if not you get your money back.
