888 to enter the French Poker market

The online casino operator 888 has announced a partnership with online gaming software producer Microgaming to offer online poker in France. The French online casino market which is still only operated by monopoly state owned companies is due to open up soon to outside interests and this is the first move in that direction although a partnership like this is a new departure.
