On Tuesday of last week at the Hilton Park Lane in London Clare Balding hosted the second Betview annual awards. Betview was launched in 2007 as a monthly magazine for the betting industry business; it is a magazine which is delivered free to more than 10,000 locations associated with the betting industry in the UK and Republic of Ireland and it provides views, opinions and interviews with industry leaders as well as providing sports TV listings. Last year Betview started its own awards program for the industry. There are 13 awards up for grabs and not all are for the large operators. William Hill was in receipt of two of the awards including the coveted Bookmaker of the Year which is awarded to the operator who has demonstrated all round excellence. The second award for William Hill fell to  Jane Noble from Darlington who was Manager of the Year. Ralph Topping, Chief Executive of William Hill said “These awards are an important industry accolade and are justly deserved recognition of the commitment shown every day by every one of our 16,000 employees. We’ve faced tough times in the last year but, by putting the customer at the heart of everything we do, we’re raising the bar for industry excellence”.

The other major award “Online Company of the Year which is awarded to the online company which has created the most innovative and easy-to-use online betting experience went to Ladbrokes. We are pleased to have both major award winners on our list of recommended online casinos.
