Jackpot win at Resorts World Casino

by admin on April 26, 2010, 7:16

Resorts  World Sentosa, Singapore’s first casino continues to be in the news  but instead of criminal activity, cheats and jail sentences this time the news is good as a couple of customers have walked away with big winnings. Last week a French tourist who prefers to remain anonymous walked away with more than S$ 1.5 million after playing video poker on a machine in the casino. It is believed that a S$25 bet triggered the “Mega Millions” jackpot whereby a number of machines are linked to each other. Jackpots like that are usually only paid on a Royal Flush but it is not clear in this case what came up. According to RWS the jackpot could pay up to S$3 million but this is certainly the largest payout since the casino opened in February. It is however not the only jackpot to have dropped at the casino as on March 16 another customer playing Caribbean Stud Poker won S$440,000 on the progressive jackpot. In our how to play section we would normally recommend not to play the progressive jackpot as the chances of winning do not equate to the money to be won but as this gentleman will say, you’ve got to be in it to win it.
