Illegal Online gambling site uncovered in Israel

As more and more folk are attracted to online casinos rather than live casinos more and more of the criminal element are attracted too in the effort to make a quick buck from unsuspecting punters. The latest  illegal online gambling network will not affect many if any of our visitors to this site but it is reminder to keep your wits about you and only gamble on reputable sites such as those we recommend. Two Israelis are being accused of operating an illegal network targeting Israeli gamblers together with three others that police believe were involved in providing technical support. Following an undercover investigation, detectives from the National Police Investigation Unit together with members of Lahav 433, a unit of the Internet gambling taskforce questioned a number of gamblers and others who might be involved. This is the second such case in just a couple of months but whereas the first was very primitive involving messengers to collect or hand out money, this one allowed punters to use credit cards. The site in question was in the Hebrew language and is believed to have operated from servers in Eastern Europe; it enabled a wide variety of betting including sports, poker and casino games and even live dealers via webcam.

Stick to who you know and don’t get caught up in this type of illegal activity.
