What appears at first to be a really complicated dice game in the online casino is Sic Bo but in actual fact it is very simple to learn and to play and has the added bonus that it is one of the faster of all casino games. Do not be put off by the apparently complicated betting board, there are at the end of the day only seven types of bet and they are all explained in our game rules section. With three dice in play there are in theory 216 possible combinations but as all three dice are the same the theory does not quite work that way; for example the maximum number that can be achieved is 18 (3 x 6) and the minimum is 3 (3 x 1). It does not take a mathematician to work out that there is only one combination in the dice game that will produce 18 and that is three sixes; similarly only three ones will produce a total of three which is why these combinations pay odds of 180 to 1. The 180 number is important in online Sic Bo as many of the odds are calculated using this number eg: there are three possible combinations that will produce a total of 4 or 17 and these pay 60 to 1. The lowest house edge is on bets for a number 1 through 6 coming up on one of the three dice. Each dice has a 1 in 6 chance of coming up with the number you select but there are three dice which gives you 3 chances of 1 in 6 which is 50/50 total chance and it pays 1/1 and as there is no zero such as in roulette it is better than a red/black bet in that casino game, the drawback being that to win big you will need to stake big playing in this manner.
